Archway Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Overview

Archway is provided by RGT Software Ltd. This privacy policy explains how Archway handles information when you import, check, install or transfer a WireGuard VPN profile using iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Information you add

Archway processes the information you choose to add. This can include a profile name, WireGuard configuration text, QR code contents, imported files, server addresses, public and private keys, other WireGuard settings and local pairing details.

Information saved on your devices

Archway saves VPN profiles and related settings on your devices. It can also save the names of known devices, confirmed profile assignments and the latest setup result so you can review them later. Private keys and full VPN profiles are sensitive and should be kept secure.

Camera and QR codes

When you choose to scan a WireGuard or pairing QR code, Archway uses the camera to read that code. Camera access is used for scanning only.

Local network and Apple TV transfer

Archway uses your local network when you ask it to find Apple TV, pair your devices, transfer a profile or return a current setup result. Transfers are started by you and should only be used with devices you trust.

VPN configuration and connection results

Archway can create and manage VPN settings using Apple system features. Your Apple device and the WireGuard server in your profile handle the VPN connection. Archway can report when the profile is saved, installed and started, and whether the server has recently replied. RGT Software Ltd does not receive these results.

Optional service checks

If you choose to run a service check, Archway asks Apple TV to contact one service address and port number that you enter. It does not download content, scan your network or prove which route was used. The address and result remain on your devices.

VPN user data commitment

RGT Software Ltd will not sell, use or disclose VPN user data to third parties for any purpose. This includes profile contents, keys, server details, connection activity and VPN traffic. RGT Software Ltd does not receive, monitor or route your VPN traffic.

RGT Software Ltd servers

RGT Software Ltd does not operate a server for storing Archway profiles, device assignments or setup results. Profile transfer and setup reporting take place directly between your devices on your local network.

Support emails

If you contact support, your email address and the information in your message are used to respond. Do not send private keys, full VPN profiles, pairing QR codes, live pairing codes, server passwords or traffic records. RGT Software Ltd will not ask you to provide this information for support.

Delete your information

You can clear an imported profile, forget a known device and remove saved profiles where Archway provides those controls. Removing the app deletes its local app data subject to normal Apple device and backup behaviour. Files you saved or shared elsewhere are separate copies. Support emails can be deleted on request, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.
