Overview
Detail Ledger is provided by RGT Software Ltd. This policy covers the information you use to plan detailing work, keep customer and vehicle records, prepare estimates and invoices, record payments, and create handover documents on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Information you enter into the app
You may enter customer names and contact details, addresses where work takes place, vehicle details, bookings, repeat-work plans, estimates, service packages, checklists, job notes, condition photos, care instructions and sign-off names. You may also save business details and a logo, invoices, payment and credit records, message templates, documents and backup files.
Detail Ledger records payments you enter. It does not process card payments or confirm that money has reached your bank account.
On-device storage
Your records are saved on your device by default. You do not need a Detail Ledger account to use the app. RGT Software Ltd does not receive your customer records, job details or photos through an RGT cloud service.
Optional private iCloud
You can choose to keep supported Detail Ledger records and photos up to date on your devices using the same Apple Account. This uses Apple's private iCloud storage. It is off until you turn it on. Apple provides this service under its own privacy policy and terms.
Turning it off stops future transfers. It does not delete records from your device or iCloud. An internet connection and an available iCloud account are needed to send or receive changes. Work saved on a device remains available when it is offline.
Photos
You choose photos through Apple's photo controls, or use the camera on iPhone or iPad after allowing access. Mac can import photos but does not capture them with a camera. The app uses your chosen photos for job records and documents. They may also be stored in your private iCloud when you enable it. RGT Software Ltd does not receive them unless you choose to send them to support.
Exports and sharing
When you save or share a document, spreadsheet, message or backup, its information goes to the place or recipient you choose. Check what is included before sharing. RGT Software Ltd does not control those recipients or services. Copies saved outside Detail Ledger are not removed when you delete app records.
Addresses and directions
If you ask the app to find an address or open directions, the selected location is passed to Apple's location and Maps services. If you choose your current location, the app asks for permission to use it. It does not require location access for ordinary record keeping or continually track your movements.
Backup import and deletion
You select backup files through Apple's file controls. The app checks a supported backup and asks you to review the restore before applying it. Keep a separate copy somewhere you trust. A backup can contain personal information, including customer details and photos.
Purchases
Apple handles Detail Ledger Pro subscriptions, payments, refunds and subscription management. Detail Ledger checks Apple's purchase records to decide whether Pro is available and may save that access status on your device. It does not receive your payment-card details.
Analytics, tracking and ads
Detail Ledger has no advertising or third-party analytics and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. RGT Software Ltd does not sell your personal information.
Support emails
If you contact support, your email address and the information you include in your message will be used to respond to your enquiry.
Data deletion
Settings offers separate choices for removing Detail Ledger data from this device and deleting its data from private iCloud and connected devices. Read the confirmation before choosing. Removing data from one device does not by itself delete the iCloud copy.
Deleting data everywhere needs private iCloud to be available. Other connected devices apply the deletion when they next receive it. This affects Detail Ledger data only, not other apps or files you saved elsewhere. Removing the app or turning off iCloud in Detail Ledger is not a request to delete the cloud copy.
A small record of the deletion may remain so an older device does not put deleted information back.
You must delete shared documents and backups from their saved destinations yourself. You can ask us to delete support emails, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.
