Overview
Hive Foreman is provided by RGT Software Ltd. It is designed to keep beekeeping records on your iPhone or iPad. You do not need an RGT Software account, and RGT Software Ltd does not operate a Hive Foreman record server.
Records you choose to enter
Hive Foreman can hold apiary and hive names, location labels, notes, inspections, queen and colony history, feeding, treatment and mite observations, tasks and reminders, harvests, yard observations, equipment and supplies, cashbook entries, business details and app preferences. You decide what to enter.
Photos, logos and voice drafts
If you add a photo or business logo, Hive Foreman keeps an app-owned copy with the related record. Copies prepared for sharing remove the original camera, device and location details.
If you choose to speak a note, the app uses the microphone and Apple's speech recognition to prepare an editable draft. Availability and processing depend on your device, language and Apple settings. Hive Foreman does not keep the audio recording, and RGT Software Ltd does not receive the recording or transcript.
Storage on your device
Your working records are stored by the app on your device. Hive Foreman does not send them to an RGT Software account, advertising service or analytics service.
Optional Private iCloud
If you turn on Private iCloud, Hive Foreman copies supported saved records through the private part of your own Apple iCloud account. This helps keep your records available on your other Apple devices signed in to that account. RGT Software Ltd cannot browse your private iCloud records.
A successfully saved change or confirmed deletion can be queued automatically while the app is open and connected. Unfinished forms and cancelled changes are not copied. If two devices changed the same record differently, the app may ask you to choose which version to keep.
Camera, photo library and QR labels
The camera is used only after you choose to take a photo or scan a Hive Foreman QR label. The photo library is used only after you choose to select an image. QR labels contain Hive Foreman hive identity information so the app can open the correct local record.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Hive Foreman schedules local reminders for tasks you create. RGT Software Ltd does not operate a push-notification server for these reminders.
Backups, spreadsheets, reports and sharing
When you create a backup, spreadsheet, report or summary, you choose where to save or send the file. The chosen destination may be operated by Apple or another company and will have its own privacy terms. RGT Software Ltd does not receive the file unless you deliberately send it to us.
Purchases
Hive Foreman Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund and payment information. The app reads the product and entitlement information Apple provides so it can make Pro features available. RGT Software Ltd does not operate a separate payment server.
Support emails
Choosing Contact support prepares an email addressed to support@rgtsoftware.com. On a serious app error, the draft can include the error details, device type, operating-system version, app version and build so that we can investigate. You can read, change or cancel the email before sending it. RGT Software Ltd receives the information only if you send the message.
Analytics, tracking and advertising
Hive Foreman does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, an analytics service or a third-party crash-reporting service. It does not request Apple's tracking permission.
Location
Hive Foreman does not request your device location. An apiary location is only the text you choose to enter.
Deleting and keeping your records
You can edit, archive or delete records where the app provides those controls. Archiving keeps the history; deleting removes the selected app record after confirmation. You can delete exported files from the place where you saved them. Removing Hive Foreman removes its local app records from that device, subject to copies retained by Apple device backups.
If you used Private iCloud, copies in your Apple account are managed separately through the app and Apple's iCloud settings. A backup, spreadsheet or report that you saved elsewhere is also separate and is not removed automatically when you delete an app record.
Data collected by RGT Software Ltd
RGT Software Ltd does not collect Hive Foreman working records through the app. Information you deliberately send in a support email is handled so that we can answer your request, keep a reasonable support history and meet legal obligations.
