About this policy
QuillMemo: Voice to Text is provided by RGT Software. This policy explains what happens to your recordings, transcripts and notes, and what you choose to share.
Information you add
The app uses audio you record or import, transcripts, edited notes, summaries, action lists, email drafts, interview notes, field visit notes and journal entries. It also saves titles, recording times, playback markers, favourite and archive choices, language and processing preferences, vocabulary hints and other settings.
If you choose to add an action to Reminders, the app may retain the identifier of the reminder you created to help avoid an accidental duplicate.
Saved on your device
Recordings, transcripts, notes, earlier versions and settings are saved in the app's library on your device. No RGT Software account is required. RGT Software does not run a transcription server or cloud-sync service for this app.
Copies saved or shared outside the app, and backups managed by Apple, are separate from the app's library.
Your transcription choice
QuillMemo: Voice to Text uses Apple's speech recognition. On this device requests recognition on your device when Apple supports your selected language and device. It does not switch to online recognition automatically.
If you choose Use Apple online, audio may be sent to Apple for recognition. You can keep the recording without making that choice. Names and Terms hints may be supplied to the recognition service you selected.
Language availability and recognition quality depend on Apple support, your device, the language and audio quality. Summaries and other structured notes are created in the app, not by an RGT Software generation server.
Permissions
Microphone access is requested for recording and Speech Recognition access for transcription. Reminders access is requested when you choose Add to Reminders. You review the reminder before choosing Create; opening a recording does not create reminders.
Sharing and email
Copy, Share, Save to Files, Export Audio and email use the content and destination you choose. Email drafts are not sent automatically. RGT Software does not control the apps, services or people you choose to send content to.
App Store purchases
Apple handles Pro purchases, restores, billing and refunds. The app uses purchase status to determine which features are available, and stores current-month capture and text-file export usage on your device. It does not receive your payment-card details.
Analytics and advertising
QuillMemo: Voice to Text does not show advertising or track you across other companies' apps and websites. RGT Software does not sell your recordings or notes.
Removing your information
Delete Recording removes that recording's saved audio and text from the app. Archive does not delete a recording. Turning audio retention off removes audio only after a complete transcript and its notes have been saved; partial or failed transcription does not trigger that removal. The setting does not remove older recordings.
Removing the app removes its local library, subject to Apple's device and backup behaviour. Previously exported files, shared copies and reminders remain in their chosen destinations until you remove them there.
When you contact support
We use your email address and the information in your message to respond to your enquiry. Please avoid sending private recordings or transcripts unless we ask and you are comfortable sharing them. You can request deletion of support messages, subject to legal or operational retention needs.
