Email support@RGTSoftware.com. Include "QuillMemo: Voice to Text" in the subject line, your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, app version and a short description of what happened.
Please do not send private meeting recordings or transcripts unless we ask for them and you are comfortable sharing them.
Recording and importing audio
- If recording is unavailable, allow microphone access in your device's Settings. You can still import an audio file without microphone access.
- For clearer audio, move closer to the people speaking and reduce background noise. Get everyone's permission before recording.
- Pause a recording when you need a break. After a call or microphone interruption, check the recording state and choose Resume yourself.
- If importing fails, make sure the audio file is downloaded in Files and uses a supported audio format. Choose another file if needed.
Transcription and languages
- Allow Speech Recognition access if prompted. In Settings, make sure Main language matches the conversation.
- On this device depends on Apple support for your language and device. The app does not switch to online recognition without your choice.
- Use Apple online may send audio to Apple for recognition and needs a working connection. You can keep the audio instead.
- Add names or specialist words in Names and Terms. These hints do not guarantee a particular spelling or transcription result.
- If only part of a recording is transcribed, keep the audio and use Retry Missing Part. Use Transcribe Again to try the same retained audio with another language or processing choice.
- Automatic summaries and structured notes are available for English recordings. Other supported languages provide transcripts and notes for manual editing.
Editing, playback and sharing
- Check Saved before leaving an editor. If saving fails, use Retry Save or keep a recovery copy rather than discarding the work.
- If you replace notes or transcribe the same audio again, review the new version before accepting it. Original Transcript and Restore Previous help you revisit earlier wording.
- Playback and audio export need a retained recording. If audio was not kept, you can still read and share saved text.
- Review the selected text before sharing or preparing an email. If no mail account is available, use Copy or Share instead.
- If Reminders access is denied, use Open Settings or Copy Action. No reminder is created until you review it and choose Create.
Pro and purchases
Pro is an optional App Store subscription. In Settings, use Upgrade to Pro to view the current offer, Restore Purchases to check an existing purchase, or Manage Subscription to manage an active subscription with Apple.
If the offer cannot load, use Retry or Continue Free. Apple handles purchases, billing and refunds. Saved recordings and text remain accessible if Pro ends.
Free captures and text Save to Files operations have monthly limits. Copy and Share do not use the text-file export allowance. Deleting a recording does not restore a used capture allowance.
Your recordings and backups
QuillMemo: Voice to Text saves your library on your device, without cloud sync. Save or share copies of important audio and text before deleting a recording or removing the app. Archiving moves a recording out of active lists; it does not delete it.
