Start with an apiary
Open Hive Foreman and choose Add apiary. Add the yard name, optional location label, and any operating notes you want to keep with that site. Apiary records are stored locally on your iPhone.

Add hives
From Today or an apiary detail screen, add each hive with its hive code, queen year, current colony strength, supers count, and notes. Free mode supports the core local workflow with a smaller hive limit, while Hive Foreman Pro unlocks larger active records.

Log inspections
Open a hive and choose Log inspection. Record the date, colony strength, swarm risk, temperament score, brood frames, supers count, next action, and follow-up notes so the latest condition stays easy to review.

Track follow-up work
Use Add task to capture mite checks, feed reminders, queen replacement work, harvest prep, or any other site follow-up. Hive Foreman highlights due-soon and overdue tasks on the Today screen.

Record harvests
Use Log harvest from an apiary to record the date, jars filled, total weight, and notes. Harvest totals stay attached to the apiary that produced them.
Export and back up records
Open an apiary and choose Share summary to generate a plain-language summary of active hives, open tasks, harvest totals, and latest inspection status. Use the iOS share sheet to save or send the exported summary to another destination on your device.
Hive Foreman stores records locally by default. Keep your own backups by exporting summaries when needed and by using standard iPhone backup options available through Apple.
Business profile
Open Settings and choose Edit business profile to add optional business name, contact name, email, phone number, and internal notes for shared apiary summaries.

Manage Hive Foreman Pro
Open Settings to unlock Hive Foreman Pro, restore purchases, or open Apple subscription management. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store.
