Overview
QuietScribe is provided by RGT Software Ltd. This policy explains how QuietScribe handles information when you record audio, import audio, create transcripts, generate structured outputs, use playback, change settings, export content or contact support.
Information you enter into the app
QuietScribe may process audio recordings, imported audio files, transcripts, generated summaries, action lists, email drafts, journal-style notes, capture titles, timestamps, archive or favourite status, transcription language, accuracy mode and other app settings that you choose to use.
Local library
QuietScribe stores recordings, transcripts, generated outputs and app settings in the app's local library by default. It does not require a RGT Software Ltd account and does not use a RGT Software Ltd hosted transcription database.
Apple Speech Recognition
QuietScribe uses Apple Speech Recognition for transcription. Higher Accuracy Online may use Apple server-backed recognition. Private On-Device requests on-device recognition when the selected language and device support it. Apple Speech availability, supported languages and recognition quality can vary by device, operating system, language and audio quality.
Exports and sharing
When you copy, share, save to Files or prepare an email from a capture, the selected audio or text is sent or saved using the destination you choose. RGT Software Ltd does not control third-party services, people or apps you choose to share exported content with.
Purchases
If QuietScribe Pro subscriptions are available, purchases, restores, refunds and billing are handled by Apple through the App Store. QuietScribe may store local entitlement status so the app can show the correct feature state.
Analytics, tracking and ads
QuietScribe is not designed to sell personal information, show ads, track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, or require a RGT Software Ltd account for the core capture workflow.
Support emails
If you contact support, your email address and the information you include in your message will be used to respond to your enquiry. Please avoid sending sensitive recordings or transcripts unless support specifically asks for them and you are comfortable sharing them.
Data deletion
You can delete captures in the app where controls are available, remove exported files from destinations you control, or remove the app from your device. Support emails can be deleted on request, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.

This QuietScribe privacy policy provides app-specific information. The general RGT Software Ltd Privacy Policy also applies unless this app-specific policy says otherwise.
