Capture, listen, transcribe

Keep audio captures and generated notes together, with controls for language, accuracy mode, playback and export.

  • Record directly in the app or import compatible audio from Files.
  • Choose a main transcription language and an accuracy mode in Settings.
  • Copy, share, save to Files or prepare email text from generated outputs.

Built around the recording.

QuietScribe keeps the original audio, playback and useful written outputs close together so a capture stays reviewable after transcription.

Capture and import

Use the capture screen for dictation, meeting-style captures or imported files, then keep recent recordings organised in the library.

Playback and transcript

Listen back, move through the recording and review the transcript before relying on generated notes or exports.

Structured outputs

Turn a capture into summaries, actions, email-ready text or journal-style notes, then export through Apple system destinations.

Privacy-aware transcription choices.

QuietScribe stores captures locally by default. The Higher Accuracy Online mode may use Apple server-backed recognition, while Private On-Device requests on-device recognition when the selected language and device support it.

  • No RGT Software Ltd account is required for the core workflow.
  • Recordings, transcripts, generated outputs and app settings are kept in the app's local library unless you export or share them.
  • Speech recognition accuracy depends on language, device support, audio quality, accent, noise and Apple Speech availability.
