Start with a vehicle
Open Van Ledger and choose Add vehicle. Add the registration or label, optional nickname, make, model, year, odometer baseline and notes. Vehicle records are stored locally on your iPhone.
Log manual trips
Use Log Trip from Today, Trips or the Add menu. Choose the vehicle, date, classification and mileage. You can enter a distance directly or use start and end odometer readings. Manual trip logging does not require Location or Motion permissions.
Record maintenance
Use Add Maintenance to record service, inspection, repair or other maintenance history. Add the vehicle, event type, date, odometer, supplier or workshop, notes and any correction note that helps explain the record later.
Record costs
Use Add Cost for fuel, parts, servicing, parking, tolls, insurance or other running costs. Add the date, amount, category, supplier and notes so the cost appears in vehicle summaries and exports.
Review Today and vehicle detail
Today shows active vehicle count, business mileage, costs, due-state summaries and recent trips. Vehicles lists each van and opens a detail page with recent maintenance, costs and trips.
Export and back up records
Open Settings and choose Export PDF or CSV. Select all vehicles or one vehicle, choose which sections to include, then generate a file and use the iOS share sheet to save, print, email or send it to another destination on your device.
Van Ledger stores records locally by default. Keep your own backups by exporting PDF or CSV files and by using normal iPhone backup options available through Apple.
Set report identity
Open Settings and choose Report Identity to add optional business name, address, email and phone details for generated PDFs. Check exported files before sharing them outside the app.
Manage Van Ledger Pro
Open Settings to manage Van Ledger Pro, restore purchases or open Apple subscription management. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store.
