Help with Archway.

Simple help for adding a WireGuard profile, pairing your devices and checking your connection.

Contact support

Email support@RGTSoftware.com. Put “Archway” in the subject line. Tell us which device you are using, its software version and the step that did not work.

Do not email a private key, full WireGuard profile, pairing QR code or live pairing code. RGT Software Ltd will not ask you to send these items for support.

Start with the user guide

The Archway User Guide explains profile import, Apple TV pairing, returned setup results, Connect and Disconnect controls, known devices and the optional service check.

Profile import problems

  • Give the profile a name before validating it.
  • Use a complete WireGuard client profile supplied by your provider, administrator or your own server.
  • If a QR code will not scan, allow Camera access for Archway or import the .conf file instead.
  • Read the error below Automatic Validation, then correct the profile or import another one.

Apple TV pairing problems

  • Connect your iPhone or iPad and Apple TV to the same local network.
  • Leave Add Profile open on Apple TV while pairing.
  • Use either the QR code or the eight-character code. You do not need both.
  • If the code has expired, choose Refresh Code on Apple TV.
  • If Apple TV is not found, allow Local Network access for Archway on your iPhone or iPad.

Connection problems

  • Open VPN on Apple TV and check that the intended profile is selected.
  • If Install VPN is available, choose it before choosing Connect.
  • VPN started means Apple TV reports that the VPN is running. It does not by itself prove that the WireGuard server responded.
  • Not confirmed yet can appear when a working VPN is idle. Check the server or run the optional service check if you control a suitable service.

Profile used elsewhere

Each device should normally have its own WireGuard client profile. If Archway warns that the profile is already assigned to another device, choose Use Another Profile and import a different client profile.
